My approach to practicing law is built on collaboration—success is never achieved in isolation, and trying to handle every aspect of a case alone only hinders the best results for clients. I find fulfillment in leading, coaching and cultivating teams that provide the proper support when needed, ensuring clients receive top-tier service. One client said, “Matthew has handled many cases for us over the years. He can keep his eye on the complete purpose and takes the emotion out of making key decisions. He handles the details well and knows what the end purpose is.”
As a committed litigator and partner in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, Matthew Jacober is recognized for his practical, hands-on approach to guiding clients toward their objectives and safeguarding their interests. His experience with high-value, high-stakes matters and his commitment to justice provide clients with a unique and strategic problem-solving perspective. Matthew brings this perspective to closely held companies valued at $150 million+, high-net-worth individuals, closely held and family businesses, and publicly traded companies across various industries, including finance and accounting, health care and manufacturing, to name a few.
WHEN ASKED…
Why did you become a lawyer?
I became an attorney because I love helping people—it motivates me daily. Growing up in a family-run business, I saw firsthand the challenges and opportunities that business owners face, and I wanted to be the one to help navigate those complexities. The thrill of competition and the satisfaction of solving challenging, complicated problems also drive me to find the best solutions for clients.
What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy hunting upland game birds and fishing, which gives me a chance to unwind and connect with nature. I also love cooking for family and friends, and my wife and I often host gatherings at home. Spending time with her, our son, and our three dogs is my favorite way to relax.
